After Mitigation Repairs
Mitigation Stopped the Damage. Now Let’s Rebuild.
Many homeowners finish mitigation and are left with missing drywall, damaged flooring, open walls, and an insurance estimate that may not be enough. CubeX handles the repair phase and helps move the home back toward normal.

Mitigation Stops the Damage. CubeX Handles the Repairs.

Mitigation stabilizes your property after fire, water, mold, or other damage. That may include drying the structure, removing damaged materials, cleaning affected areas, or opening walls and floors to prevent additional problems.

But mitigation often leaves the home partially dismantled. CubeX steps in after the emergency work is complete to repair what was removed, rebuild damaged areas, and coordinate the construction needed to make your home complete again.

Cleanup and Reconstruction Are Two Different Jobs

Mitigation companies specialize in stopping damage and making the property safe and dry. Reconstruction requires a different set of skills, trades, materials, schedules, permits, and inspections.

CubeX specializes in the reconstruction side. We review what happened during mitigation, determine what still needs to be repaired, review the insurance repair scope, and manage the work from demolition to a finished home.

Already used another mitigation company? That’s completely normal. CubeX can take over the repair and reconstruction after mitigation is complete.

My wife and I interviewed a lot of different contractors to do the rebuild after a large loss insurance claim due to a flood. Jerrod Dool and the Cubex Team did a great job of handling our difficult insurance company (Jerrod was a former adjustor himself so that helped a lot) and they really are just a bunch of good-hearted and professional guys. Highly recommend for your reconstruction projects where you have to deal with an insurance company!

Fire Reconstruction

Cleanup Stops the Damage. Reconstruction Gives You Your Home Back.

Mitigation companies focus on stopping further damage by removing water, cleaning smoke and soot, drying the structure, and removing damaged materials.

CubeX takes over where cleanup leaves off. We rebuild the damaged areas, coordinate the necessary trades, and help turn a partially demolished property back into a complete home.

Water damage restoration can include both mitigation and reconstruction. CubeX specializes in the reconstruction side: repairing and rebuilding the home after emergency cleanup and mitigation are complete.

What It Feels Like to Work With CubeX

Z

You Know What Happens Next

We review where the project stands, explain what still needs to happen, and give you a clear path from mitigation to completed repairs.

Z

You Deal with One Team

CubeX coordinates contractors, materials, scheduling, inspections, and construction instead of leaving you to manage each piece separately.

Z

You Have Big Picture Clarity

We look at the whole repair, including how walls, flooring, cabinets, building systems, finishes, insurance documentation, and construction sequencing fit together.

Z

You Focus on Your Life

You didn’t become a construction manager because something damaged your home. CubeX handles the repair process so you can spend less time chasing details and more time getting back to normal.

Your Insurance Estimate May Not Include Everything That Needs to Be Repaired

Initial insurance estimates are often prepared before mitigation and demolition reveal the full extent of the damage. Once flooring, drywall, cabinets, insulation, or other materials are removed, additional construction needs may become visible.

Have you had this thought? “The estimate seems low. Now what?”

CubeX compares the insurance repair scope with the actual conditions in your home. If legitimate repair items are missing, we document the construction need and provide supporting information for supplemental insurance review.

One Contractor to Coordinate the Reconstruction

Repairs after mitigation may involve drywall, flooring, cabinets, framing, painting, roofing, electrical work, plumbing, insulation, trim, and other trades depending on the type and extent of the original damage.

CubeX coordinates those repairs as one project, giving you a single team responsible for scheduling, subcontractors, materials, inspections, communication, and the details required to move reconstruction forward.

OUR PROCESS

How Repairs After Mitigation Work

1

We Start With Where You Are

You may contact CubeX while mitigation is underway, immediately after demolition, or after you receive an insurance repair estimate.

We review what happened, what work has already been completed, what materials were removed, and what still needs repair.

2

We Inspect the Property

CubeX evaluates the affected areas and reviews the mitigation or demolition work already completed.

We identify what needs repair, replacement, rebuilding, or further evaluation, and coordinate specialized trades or inspections as needed.

3

We Review the Repair Scope and Insurance Estimate

We compare the insurance estimate with the actual construction requirements, including measurements, materials, labor, and post-mitigation repairs.

If something appears missing or additional damage is exposed, we document the difference before reconstruction moves forward.

4

We Help Document Additional Repair Needs

Mitigation crews must remove wet, burned, contaminated, or otherwise damaged materials before fully evaluating the damage.

When additional repairs are needed, CubeX prepares supporting construction documentation for supplemental insurance review.

5

We Manage the Rebuild

Once the repair scope is established, CubeX coordinates the crews, materials, scheduling, permits, inspections, and construction sequencing required to rebuild the affected areas.

One team moves the project forward instead of you coordinating a collection of separate contractors.

6

We Walk the Finished Home With You

When reconstruction is complete, we walk through the finished work with you and address any remaining details.

The goal is not simply to replace what mitigation crews removed. It is to make your home feel complete again.

No matter where you are in the restoration process, Cubex can help you take the next step.

FAQs

What are repairs after mitigation?

Repairs after mitigation are the reconstruction and finish work required after emergency cleanup, drying, remediation, or demolition is complete. Mitigation focuses on stopping additional damage and stabilizing the property, while reconstruction focuses on rebuilding what was damaged or removed.

Depending on the loss, repairs after mitigation may include drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinets, framing, roofing, electrical work, plumbing, painting, trim, and other construction. CubeX manages the repair phase so Colorado homeowners can move from a stabilized property to a finished home without coordinating multiple contractors themselves.

What happens after mitigation is complete?

After mitigation is complete, the property should be evaluated to determine what needs to be repaired or reconstructed. The mitigation company may have removed damaged drywall, flooring, cabinets, insulation, framing, or other materials to properly dry, clean, or stabilize the property.

CubeX reviews the work already completed, inspects the remaining conditions, and compares the necessary repairs with the insurance estimate. From there, we develop a reconstruction plan and coordinate the contractors, materials, scheduling, and inspections needed to complete the repairs after mitigation.

Does the mitigation company have to do the reconstruction?

No. The company that performs mitigation does not necessarily have to complete the reconstruction. Many mitigation companies specialize in emergency response, drying, demolition, smoke cleanup, or mold remediation rather than complete residential rebuilding.

Homeowners may choose a separate reconstruction contractor after mitigation is finished. CubeX frequently steps into projects after another company has performed the initial cleanup or mitigation and takes responsibility for coordinating the repair and reconstruction phase.

When should I contact CubeX after mitigation?

You can contact CubeX while mitigation is still underway or anytime after the property has been stabilized. You do not need to wait until every insurance question has been resolved or until the mitigation company has completely closed its portion of the project.

Early involvement allows CubeX to understand what materials were removed, review the proposed repair scope, identify construction requirements, and begin planning the reconstruction. If mitigation has already been completed and the project has stalled, we can start by reviewing where things currently stand.

What if the insurance estimate does not include all the repairs?

An initial insurance estimate may not include every repair because some damage cannot be seen until mitigation and demolition are complete. Removing flooring, drywall, cabinets, insulation, or other materials can reveal additional conditions that were not visible during the first inspection.

CubeX compares the insurance estimate with the actual construction requirements after mitigation. When legitimate repair items are missing, we can document those needs with photographs, measurements, estimates, and other construction information for supplemental insurance review. Coverage decisions remain with the insurance carrier.

Does CubeX work with insurance companies?

Yes. CubeX communicates with insurance adjusters and other parties about construction scope, estimates, repair methods, pricing, and documentation related to insurance reconstruction.

Our role is to document and explain the work necessary to repair the home after mitigation. If the repair scope changes because additional damage becomes visible, CubeX can provide supporting construction information for supplemental review. CubeX does not act as a public adjuster or determine what your insurance policy covers.

What types of repairs can CubeX handle after mitigation?

CubeX handles residential reconstruction after fire mitigation, water mitigation, mold remediation, storm damage, and other property losses. Repairs may include drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, kitchens, bathrooms, framing, roofing, electrical work, plumbing, painting, trim, and other interior or exterior construction.

Because mitigation frequently affects several parts of the home at once, CubeX coordinates the necessary trades as one reconstruction project rather than leaving homeowners to hire separate contractors for every repair.

How long do repairs take after mitigation?

The timeline for repairs after mitigation depends on the extent of the damage and the amount of reconstruction required. A smaller project involving drywall, flooring, and paint may move relatively quickly, while a kitchen, major fire loss, structural repair, or multi-room reconstruction may take substantially longer.

Insurance approvals, supplemental estimates, permits, inspections, material availability, cabinetry, specialty trades, and homeowner selections can also affect the schedule. CubeX builds the reconstruction schedule around the actual repair scope and keeps homeowners informed as the project progresses.
